Bancroft Wedding

On Saturday, I had the privilege to be the second shooter on a wedding with Claude J. Gagnon. He is a Master Photographer from Timmins and had photographed the bride since she was a young ballerina (he did all the dance recitals in town) so she absolutely had to have him do her wedding. Since his associates were busy with another wedding, he put a call out to the Professional Photographers of Ontario membership to see if anyone would be free and able to travel to Bancroft. Well, it’s not too far from my own cottage in the Kawartha Lakes so I jumped on board.

It was a very laid-back, fun cottage wedding but I love that the bride and groom invested in an excellent photographer to capture their day. When all is said and done, the photos (and perhaps a boxed up wedding dress) are all that is left from all the blood, sweat and tears that inevitably go into planning a wedding day. Having amazing photographs will honour all that hard work and let you relive that magical day. I have no doubt that Scott and Lindsay will love their photos and I was so happy to share in their joy and capture some of those special moments. Plus, I got to learn from a great photographer!
