Photography has long been a passion of mine. I have a degree in Image Arts from Ryerson University but worked for many years in non-profit organizations where I gained skills as a graphic designer.
I’m happy to offer both sets of skills to my clients. On the photography side, I specialize in portraits, nature and travel photography. On the design side, I have experience creating corporate identities and promotional materials for businesses and events, as well as WordPress websites.
I have always been a curious, quiet observer of the world around me and am thrilled to have found a career that allows me to do so on a daily basis. Waiting for that perfect expression or capturing details that are often overlooked are what get me really excited about my craft. This attention to detail is also evident in my design work where I strive to meet my clients taste and needs.
In 2012, I began offering workshops and led my first photo tour to India. I was hooked. I have since joined the Ottawa School of Art as an instructor and led another tour to Iceland. In 2015, I became a travel agent in order to plan tours hosted by myself and other amazing photographers. To find out more, please visit Focus on Photography Tours.
I would love to help you learn and grow your skills in photography, either in one of my classes, a tour or one-on-one mentoring.
I am also a proud member and past Chair of the Eastern Ontario Branch of the:
Nationally Accredited in:
Children & Infant Portrait
with the Professional Photographers of Canada.
Finally, an about me page would not be complete without mentioning the two people in my life who give me the most support and inspiration, my husband James and my son Benjamin.
