Gift ideas for people who already have ‘everything’

Tomorrow is Black Friday in the US but here in Canada, retailers love to jump on board with sales as well. It can all be quite overwhelming. For those who are either tired of consumerism or just plain stuck on finding original ideas for those hard-to-buy-for loved ones, here are some ideas:

  1. Gift a portrait session! Beautiful family photos are often the most treasured of our possessions, especially when they capture milestones or loved ones we don’t see as often.
  2. Give original artwork! If you like my fine art photography, you can now choose the size and whether you like canvas or a frame and have it printed and shipped directly from Crated.com!
  3. Gift a course. I am teaching The Art of Photography at the Ottawa School of Art starting in February. I’m also doing a 1-day workshop on how to take better pictures on February 11. If you know someone who loves photography and wants to learn or improve their skills, this would be a great gift. I am also available for private and small group lessons. Contact me for more info!
  4. Gift travel. What not surprise someone with an amazing experience. The tours I run only need a deposit of $250 to secure your spot. With upcoming tours to France, Iceland, South Africa there is destination for every taste. And right now there is an early booking bonus for the South Africa Wildlife and Wine Tour. Save $150 per person if you book before November 30. Please sign up to my mailing list to get more info on upcoming tours and specials!
